Filmmaker Bio(s)
Ben Pakman is a New York-based filmmaker and actor. Parkway Hop marks his directorial debut. He produced Deal of a Lifetime (Montclair '24) and served as Associate Producer on The Strange Ones (SXSW ’17) and Katie Says Goodbye (TIFF ’16). As an editor, his work spans narrative, documentary, and commercial projects, including the Webby-winning series Black History in Two Minutes (Or So).
Joshua Bogatin is a filmmaker, editor, critic, and programmer based in NYC. His short films—including La Visita (Sundance Ignite), Gettysburg, and Parkway Hop—have screened internationally. He has edited features and shorts such as Habitat (Shanghai '24) and Fisherman’s Burden (Best International Short, Festivalul Cinema Paradiso). His film writing appears in MUBI Notebook, Screen Slate, Senses of Cinema, and Filmmaker Magazine.
